I realize this is not the usual question for this site but thought I'd give it a try. My daughter is going to be a senior at UCLA this fall. Over the last 3 years she has had various issues that needed minor medical attention and she has always gone to the Ashe Student Medical Center on campus. She recently had something more serious happen and had to go to the ER at the UCLA Medical center. She would like to find a General Practitioner or Internist in Westwood/West L.A. where she can go for more serious issues and to establish a relationship with a doctor as she will probably stay in LA for a few years.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good General Practitioner in the area? Or does anyone know of a good way to find one other than the "yellow pages" or it's online equivalent? I imagine this info could be helpful to other students and prospective students so I hope the moderators don't delete this. You can send me a private message if you prefer. Thanks so much!

I go to Stephen Copen at Cedars Sinai <a href=“Redirect Notice”>Redirect Notice. He’s an excellent doctor but his waiting room is always crammed full of people which can be very frustrating.

I believe a lot of the doctors at Ashe also have outside practices. If your daughter liked any of the doctors, she can ask if they have outside offices so she can continue seeing them after she graduates.

Maybe someone at the ronald reagan medical building would be able to help you out? Or at least redirect you to someone…

Thanks for the replies so far. My daughter mainly sees nurse practitioners at Ashe Center. I am not sure if she has seen a doctor there but I will ask. When she was at the RR Medical center for her emergency I told her to ask around for a referral and she wasn’t really up to it. So here I am trying to do just that. Keep hoping for a recommendation fro someone very close to Westwood. Thanks!

I see an internist named Eve Glazier. Dr. Glazier is affiliated with UCLA and practices out of Santa Monica. Her office is at 16th and Wilshire, not that far from UCLA (although I know it’s not in Westwood.) If the UCLA Medical Group is under your insurance (and I know UCLA takes a variety of insurance plans), I highly recommend her. She is a former head resident, super sharp, and very caring.

Here’s a list of the Primary Care Providers at Ashe: [The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center](http://www.studenthealth.ucla.edu/aboutus_pcp.html). Maybe this will help jog her memory.

When I was at UCLA back in 2006, I saw Dr. Kenneth Malkes and he was very good. I’m not sure if he is still there, but I imagine he must have a private practice in the area.
