<p>Education is the greatest aspect of self-investment. Decisions related to it have to be well planned specially those linked to attending a college. Personally, I asked myself several questions prior attending this class. I questioned my reasons to attend a college, why to attend it online, what to study and its expected gains and finally what I am hoping to gain by taking this college class specifically.</p>
<p>My reasons to attend college are numerous. My thirst to learn, expand my knowledge and increase my general literacy is a one. Improving my personal capabilities and way of thinking is another reason. In top of that is my desire to earn an undergraduate degree that enables me to locate a suitable job in todays highly competitive job market. Further to that is my feeling that a college study can help me to provide a better support for my son school study in the near future. Finally, I am looking to acquire more skills as well as improving those, which I already possess.</p>
<p>I selected to attend the college online because this is my best choice as a mother of a two years old toddler who needs the flexibility provided by an online education. Through an online college I can study when and where it is possible, I do not have to spend time away from my baby and I can ensure that my study duties are not affecting my home role as a mother and a wife. I believe also that the online education can make me more independent, self-reliant, self-motivated person who can achieve with a minimum direct supervision .Online education also is much more affordable, it eliminates many costs associated to campus study like transportation, meals and sometimes accommodation.
I am going to study Bachelor of general studies with major in business; I aim to get several gains from this college study. Primarily, to benefit from studying with classmates who possess various educational, career and cultural backgrounds. I also hope to improve my English, communication, critical thinking, mathematical and writing abilities. Moreover, I plan to utilize the large array of available electives in customizing the program to best fit my learning requirement and future vocational plans. I am planning to set up an online store with home based operation and I think that attending such program can enhance some skills required to successfully start and operate it.</p>
<p>I am placing big hope on this class specifically in improving my writing ability and enable me to write in a professional manner as well as being able to evaluate others writings . A composition class would help me to think more creatively and logically and will improve my critical thinking and analytical abilities as well. It will learn me how to summarize and how to demonstrate my understanding more vividly. I hope it will help me to get better grades through improving my submissions in other classes. It can help me in future also to get an internship or land a job through writing powerful and clear personal statements.</p>
<p>Questions like what is prompting me to attend college, why shall I take it online and What will I study and what I aim to gain while at college and finally what I am hoping to gain by taking this college class specifically have to be answered clearly in order to stay in the right track and avoid future problems . Generally all education related decisions are very crucial and have to be well planned .</p>
