<p>there is the jsa summer school which focuses on politics. its a 4 week stay at a university campus (you pick from 4 - princeton, yale, gerogetown, or northwestern) and im going to do it this summer. you should look into it. im not sure how selective it is. i dont think it is too hard to get into.</p>

<p>Some JSA (Junior State of America) events and programs can be super expensive IMHO, but it really is a well-respected year-round initiative that offers several summer programs. </p>

<p>Also, do a search on "summer program" "politics" or "summer program" "social science" (or something like that) to find opportunities that may be of interest to you.</p>
<p>The cost is 3,675 for four weeks but scholarship is available. I applied for financial aid.</p>
