I can’t stop thinking about if I will be stressed out for the next 2 years of HS. I NEED ADVICE AND HELP PLS!!!
My question: Is this too much (epecially for senior year) ?
Consider:
- I need 7- 8 hours of sleep to function
- I do not picj material up quickly but am a hard worker
- I do science fairs and it takes a toll during the Spring
- I do not play on a sport team
Classes I forecasted for this fall as a Junior in HS
AP Calc AB
AP United States History
AP Chem
AP language and compostion
Spanish 3
Ceramics
Senior Year (planned)
AP Calc BC
AP Gov.
AP literatute
AP Physics
AP Spanish
(one class left)
- note: AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Physics are hard classes due to the content and/or the teachers are not the best
Your class schedule is definitely manageable. Do you know which AP Physics your school offers (B, 1, 2, C-Mech, C-Electromag)? Whichever Physics class you have determines how difficult the course is.
Also, APUSH isn’t hard, but it’s lots of busy work, especially if your teacher can’t get through the full curriculum. I decided to take the regular alternative instead my junior year because I was taking AP Stat, Chem, Physics C, and Lang and wanted to spend my time on those classes. My reg teacher recommended me for Gov and Euro anyway.
That’s a very manageable schedule imo, first semester of junior year i took
Honors Calc BC
AP Chen
AP European History
Honors English 11 (ela in my district is weird)
AP Computer Science Principals
French III
I ended up with all A’s but cut it a bit close on Chem. I do extracurriculars and get home around 6 PM usually, do all my homework, study, get around an hour or so to just play video games or watch TV with 6-8 hours of sleep.
Your schedule looks fine but if you do extracurriculars I’d be considerate about AP Chem. The workload is slightly higher than others.
Which AP physics class would it be?
AP Calc BC
AP Gov.
AP literatute => I’d suggest you replace this with Honors English if available, unless you love reading
AP Physics => C is very tough, 1 is okay
AP Spanish
(one class left) => take a fun class (like choir, culinary arts, current events, shop…)
