Need advice ASAP!

Hi guys,

I live in CT and just recently UCONN has been on my top choice for various reasons. It is a great school, and because of my financial issues it fits in perfect. I would love to attend this school rather than others that I have been looking at. If I could apply EDecision, I definitely would, but unfortunately they do not have ED. I am a little worried though about my chances on getting into the school. I did not do so well my freshman and sophomore year, but thankfully did a complete 360 of my life.

Freshman and sophomore year, I will admit I failed classes. My junior year was when I changed my life around and come to realization what was truly important to me, that being my school work.

Last year (Junior year), I maintained a 3.8 GPA and now my current senior year, I am taking one AP class and an honors class as well as other demanding classes. I am trying to repeat my grades from last year in hopes that it will boost my accumliative GPA is very low and my guidance counselor believes it should reach a 3.0 by the time I graduate. My SAT's on a 1600 scale are at 1110, but the school requires a 1200 (along those lines)

This summer I attended a pre-college program at Barnard College in NYC for a week which I had to get into. I got a recommendation from my professor as well as one from my english teacher who saw my transformation along with a Chemistry teacher. I have done about 30 hours of community service and am Co-president of the Achieving with Integrity committee.

What do you think are my chances of getting into UCONN?! Please give me advice on what I should do to increase my chances.

What is your GPA now (the GPA you will apply with)?
