need advice for summer courses

Im transfering in this fall... I would like to major in economics
I saw on the web that say..
The Economics Department does not recommend that students take their statistics or economic theory courses in summer session. If students wish to take an economics course in summer session, we recommend Econ 113, 157, or 161.

So if i should not take 100A/100B or stat20,21,25 all these prerequisites for declaring major, what should i take?
Are there any recommended courses? Seems like most others econ classes have prerequisites also, which I am not eligible to take

And there are thousands of classes in the business department..
im just wondering what are the better courses to take if majoring in economics?
also for accounting, if I have taken 3 accounting classes in my cc, are they transferable? should i take the introduction or intermediate?
Thank you!!

Could you post the link where it says that students are not recommended to take them over summer?

[Berkeley - Summer Session - Transfer](http://summer.berkeley.edu/mainsite/transfer/maj_econ.html)

Is that recommendation not to take Stats over the summer just for transfers?

So heres my situation that may be somewhat similar to yours or others
I am a transfer for spring 2010. Im an econ major(hopefully) with all pre-reqs done and 63 transferable units. I called the department head to ask what I should do for the fall. She told me if I was to transfer in spring with 63 units, I would be at quite a disadvantage when applying to the econ major. She told me I need to take at least 7 more units either over summer or in the fall. I asked her what to take since my pre-reqs were done. She said anything that will prep you for your major, double major, minor or general interest. And make sure you do not take any econ or stats classes. She stressed the last part. I had no idea 63 units would put me at a disadvantage.
