Need Advice from MBA Experts

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum but I have just recently decided to make it my ultimate educational goal to get an MBA. I was wondering if you guys could help me with the numerous questions that I have as I have been getting mixed and non-straight forward answers from online.

I am currently in my third semester of college at a community college with a 3.97 GPA. I should be getting my Associate's Degree by the end of next spring. I am going to be transferring to USF to get my Bachelors in Business Administration.

My questions are:

As far as only trying to get into a "Top MBA Program", how far down ranking wise should I look at. Top 10? Top 15? Top 20?

Are the "Job Offer" percentage on this website somewhat accurate?
Cornell University: Johnson Graduate School of Management - Full-Time MBA Profile - Businessweek

Is the job market for an MBA from a top school at least decent? I don't need a six figure salary, I just want to make enough to be able to pay my school loans and be able to live somewhat comfortably.

I know a high GPA and a good GMAT score is not going to get me into a top MBA program. Can you guys suggest what else I can do to increase my chances of getting into a top school?

Is it really a good idea to apply with no actual work experience, just internships?

Work experience wise, when does the work experience start to count? When I have a Bachelors or can I start on it now? Does it have to be a management position?

I'm assuming that public speaking is of utmost importance when it comes to an MBA. I have a fear of public speaking but am working very hard to try to overcome it. Can you guys suggest some things I can do to help me get over this fear?

The counselors at my school are hopelessly clueless when I ask them about getting an MBA so I highly appreciate it if you guys would help me out. Thanks

Your first order of business shall be working hard to get your first degree, find a good job and go from there. MBA is not a necessity for a successful career. Working experience is very important as far as MBA admission is concern. You shall try your best in your study now and not worry about an MBA until after you start your career.

Getting an MBA immediately after Undergrad is stupid. You’re wasting your opportunity for a career boost/change without getting much benefit. You also haven’t had any time off school so you probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much.

You aren’t a master of business, you’re a 24 year old kid who has 0 real world experience, has no idea what he’s doing and took a handful of courses which are known for being “easy”.

On campus recruiting for MBA programs is somewhat specific. They look for people with a professional background and a history of leadership. The jobs you’d be applying for would be the same ones you’d get straight out of undergrad.

If you want a graduate business degree, look into 1 year MSF/M.Finn, MACC and MBT programs which are actually tailored to people without any experience.

My son is a junior in college now taking business courses and doing well. I, too, wondered at what point after graduating with a bachelor’s degree should he go to school for his MBA. The information provided here is insightful.
