Since I am a va resident I will be applying mostly va schools

jmu
va tech
george mason
mary washington
christopher newport
and UVA, w+m as reaches

what I would like to know is what other colleges should I look into that are out of state? east coast only, just looking to get some more ideas about where I should apply.

i've been to JMU, v-tech, george mason, mary washington, and UVA

JMU- I heard it's great school. i've been there many times. Many of my friends go there and they think it's great school

VA tech- only for engineering stuff... others suck

George Mason- great location near by Washington. pretty mediocre education. It's not a bad school but it's not a great school either

Mary Washington- location just sux... c'mon Fredericksburg?? it's country!

CNU- this is one of the rising school (with V-tech and JMU) but i know a lot of people who went there and they do not like it so much.

UVA- best school. I think u got a shot at it if you have many activities

W&M- i heard this school is HARD. this school has number one suicide rates. I don't think u would want to go there.

Some other colleges available are

VCU ( good for art, music, mass communication(ranked #1 in the nation I believe), and nursing )

UNC- has pretty good name. cheap tuition for out of state (17k i believe?) I never heard negative comments on this school. good for med.. dat's all I know

GWU- school in Washington. expensive tuition..

there are lots of colleges availabe with ur score. I think UNC, UVA, JMU might be a good deal. It all depends what you want to major in

yea I'm looking mostly for information on schools other than ones in va. i know most of the stuff about instate and dc. cnu is a backup school also.
