Need advice on retaking ACT/SAT

I want to retake one of them, but Im not sure which one. Im a senior, so Ill have to take it in Dec, so it wouldnt be a good idea to take both, right? So far Ive taken the SAT twice and the Act once (yesterday). Which one would be easier to improve with one months worth of studying (probably just on the weekends)? Plus, I have to take 2 SAT II's, which would be Dec 2, if that matters.

SAT I and SAT II tests are both the same day so looks like you won't be able to retake the SAT. That said, I think ACT is a wiser choice anyways

Wait, I just checked, and I dont have to take the SAT II'S until Jan. (wow, what a relief). But I still would have to take the SAT I on Dec 2 if thats the one I chose.

i'd prolly suggest taking them both, just cause the subjects are mostly the same, or you could go into, say the ACT, as a good practice for the SAT...

Good Luck on whatever you choose!

I think that it is harder to study for the SAT than the ACT. I would like to point out that there are people who study endlessly for the SAT but just cant do well.

From my experience with the SAT, it seems that the people who do well studied very hard when they were "pushed" by their parents in middle school, regardless of their studies in high school. I knew students who where great in middle school because of their parents, but who were lazy and got Ds in high school. But they still did well, >1400, on their SATs where as some where not so studious in middle school but were valedictorian of their high school but scored <1300. The SATs do not tests how hard one studies.

Indian: Both, taking the ACT the weekend after the SAT? Do you think it would be better to concentrate on just one rather than try to focus on preparing for both at the same time?

You haven't mentioned what you're scoring on either test! On the real thing or in practice. Kinda hard to say which to focus on if we don't know your scores.

most people i know seem to think act is much easier than sat

just wondering, why are you taking the tests so late?

go for the ACT. its a better test...not as much controversy and mistakes
