Need advice on what to do for the fall

I could use some advice on which school to go to for the fall, this isn't you're typical tell me which school is better or fits me better thread.

I'm paying for college myself through loans, no cosigner or anything, so money is a concern, considering I know that I will be attending graduate school, more than likely law school. I have begun to consider other careers too because of the money concern, such as something besides law where I can use economics, or teaching.

I'm trying to decide between Suny-Binghamton where I went for the first semester this year, and despite somethings I didn't like about the school really grew to love it at the end. I did well there, developed a work ethic that I didn't even know I had in high school and made friends that I still talk to all of the time. I feel like because of the culture at Binghamton I'm more comofortable in pursuing anything that I desire. However the cost of attending Binghamton will be about $8,000 greater than Rutgers this year. I'm not sure about the cost of living off campus at Binghamton so I don't know how much it will cost me Junior and Senior year.

Rutgers is the economic front runner, it will be $8,000 less than Binghamton because I live in New Jersey and I will also be living off campus. I had a good time when I visited this weekend and get along well with the kids that I know are living in the house. I'm pretty sure I would have a job the entire year at Rutgers too, because I won't pledge if I go to Rutgers, but will if I go to Binghamton, and the major retailer I work at has a store near the RU campus. I am affraid though that I won't get the chance to meet as many people at rutgers, even though there are more people, because I'm one of those guys that's extremely social outside the class room, but don't talk much in class because I take alot of notes, and since I won't be living on campus I won't have the dorms to meet people in. Unless I receive scholarship to one of the New York City law schools, I will also probably attend Rutgers Newark for law school, because it is only $22,000/year and 25 minutes away from my home so I can commute.

Please help with this situation, I really am lost on what to do because I'm pretty sure I'd rather go to Binghamton, but the money I could save at Rutgers would also be really nice. Please keep in mind that I will be paying for all of this myself through loans, so money is just as great of an issue as happiness.

Save the money and go to Rutgers.

It’s really up to you. We can’t measure your potential happiness at each place. Is $8000/year worth complete misery at Rutgers? Probably not. Is it worth a little less happiness than at Binghamton? You have to decide that. I’d say yes.

SLUTGERS! Sorry, had to, I’m from Jersey too :P. Money can always be paid back, just remember that…

Have you exhausted all scholarship possibilities?
I would suggest doing that and choosing whichever college you genuinely like better.

Do you know any scholarships that would be available to a guy with a little above average of a high school transcript, a good transcript though a semester of college and pretty good sat scores?
