So I live in Northern California and applied to 7 different colleges under the major of computer engineering, and got denied to all of the ones I actually wanted to go to. My goal was to try and go to UCSD and it still is, however I didnt get in. Where I did get into was UC Merced, Cal Poly Pomona, San Diego State, and the waiting list for UC Davis. So at this point I'm a little conflicted. I cant decide whether to go to Merced and try and transfer later, or do the same with SDSU. Also, I havent done to much research into Cal Poly Pomona because I applied there just because it was another Cal Poly, because I also applied to Cal Poly SLO. After doing some research Ive realized that SDSU is more of a party school with lower end academics, and thats something I want to avoid. What you would you all recommend for someone like me. I want to avoid doing the CC route, so anything is better than that. Another thing that comes to mind is Cal Baptist. My sister pointed it out to me and I know I can still apply there as another choice. Any advice?
