Hello all,

I am Sanford and im writing this thread to see what is the best choice there is, regarding a class that I want to drop. To start off, I am a junior in a very competitive high school and I want to drop a regular Vs.Net( a prerequisite course to Ap Java, computer class) course for Teacher's Aide. The reason why I want to drop this course starts off with my hatred toward the course and the teacher I have. This story will be kinda long but, Vs.Net is the course that I have signed up for my junior year, but due to few Ap java students that were merged into our class/course, the Vs.Net transformed into an actual Ap Java course with no Ap credit or weighted grade. Many of the projects and the test were very complicated so my friends and I have talked to the counselors multiple times, wrote a letter to the vice-principle and talked with the principle but rendered useless because nothing changed. FYI my teacher has never taught the class, never lectured, and passed out course policy when the semester is ending, thus leading me to believe that he is very lazy.

I know that if I continue taking this class, an "A" is unthinkable because he wants the class to go on a website to learn AP Java ourselves, but at the same time, I have a "B" which is bringing down my GPA a little. As for being a teacher's aide, I know that it is an easy course where I will have a guaranteed "A" at the cost of leaving a bad impression to the colleges.

I just want some opinions/advice on this issue I have and anything will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Sanford
