<p>My friend has asked me to post this in hopes of getting some advice or feedback from everyone on his situation.</p>
<p>His stats are as follows:</p>
<p>Bachelor of commerce degree with a 3.8GPA
GMAT score: 680
Work experience: He is a licensed real estate broker and mortgage broker who has founded a very successful boutique real estate investing firm.
Reason for obtaining an MBA: To further his management skills and expand his business.</p>
<p>Here's the kicker, the bachelor degree he obtained is an online degree from Athabasca University (This university holds an accreditation from MSCHE).</p>
<p>He would like to know what his chances are for admission into a top MBA program?</p>
<p>Did he do anything more than the average real estate broker? Grow his own holdings or put together complex deals for investors? If he did, it's not out of the question.</p>
<p>Much more! His firm is not just a buy/sell real estate firm. It's an investment firm specializing in the acquisition of investment properties, putting together complex deals for the company or other investors, and also has a separate entity holdings company. It's a complete real estate investment firm.</p>
<p>With that being said, what do you think his chances are?</p>
<p>Could you also provide a short list of B-schools he would most likely have a shot at.</p>
