Need advice, should I transfer twice?

For my freshman I attended City College, and I recently transfered to Hunter college. I am planning to major in art, but it seems Hunter College doesnt have a great Art program. Is it wise to transfer again during my third year of college? My artwork is mediocre, and I have no clue how to use photoshop. If I do transfer for my second time, I would like to transfer to SVA. I am mostly worried about the money, will it affect my future, and what are my chances of getting into SVA. I didn't attend to an art high school, and my SAT were pretty bad. My GPA is currently a 3.5. Advice for what I should do would be great.

I'm on the same boat as you except I havent transfered yet and I'm a sophmore. I go to columbia college in chicago and I'm planning to transfer to SVA. I'm pretty sure I can get in no problem. Like you though, money is becoming an issue. I live on long island and I think it would benefit me in saving money because I can commute, not pay for housing and on top of that am a resident on NY. Columbia is hella expensive for their mediocre education but like many say, you get in what you put in and its not the case there.

I am hoping to transfer to sva with success, and heard their animation programs are pretty decent. But if your SAT's are bad, I read as long as you have around 24+ credits from your original school it doesnt matter, you just need a solid portfolio. But yeah I would also like to have more opinions about this subject because i am also interested in this subject.

According to my research for other schools, a good portfolio will outweigh a poor SAT. Solid credits from your other schools and a good GPA will also play in your favour.

Good luck!
