Ok, I am spending a good deal of time outside the United States as I am taking a year vacation from school. Anyways, when I asked the teachers for a recommendation letter I didnt know which colleges/universities I wanted to apply to yet. So I had my teachers mail the recommendation letters to my house while I am in South America. (Note: i dont return to the US until March, way past the application deadlines) Since i was going to apply online i thought i could just fax or send in my recommendation letters in with my online application. So I had my parents scan my recommendation letters and email them to me.

Did i completely screw myself over or what? Anyone have any advice?

the fact is that the letters are already opened, that and it takes over a month for any mail to get here. I really dont know the rules of recommendation letters, so if someone could post them or send me a link of what they are.

If any college to which you are applying requires a Teacher Evaluation,
ask a teacher(s) in an academic subject to complete
that form as instructed and to mail a copy to each of your
selected colleges.
