We are still waiting over here. Loa in December. Vision waiver needed in Dodmrb purgatory. Moc has called, We have called. Rita knows my voice
all they can say is they are working on it. DD is handling it well. I'm not.
Want to be at Peskemom's party. Any suggestions. Any thoughts of hope.
She is not wait listed just waiting.

I'm in the exact same thing, waiting on a waiver from the Academy. I have been accepted to NAPS, made Rita hate me from calling so much, and now I'm just waiting and waiting!

has the admissions office offered any info re: the holdup on the decision? Perhaps your BGO can inquire, if you have not already tapped that resource-

keep the faith- I would think an LOA should be encouraging that they want your dd! Final decisions are due into Academy as of 5/1, so spots may yet open!

How "bad" is the vision? Sierra's was a -3.5.

What has your Regional Director said?

Have you called your congressman/senator, especially the one giving nomination?

We were right there with you with waivers - what a nightmare. 24 calls to Colorado in two months. That you have an LOA IS encouraging. We spoke with a Master Chief Ferrell at DoDMERB and he was helpful. Have Anna transfer you if haven't done so already.

Our RD said at one point it could be 1st of June or after concerning waivers. I believe a lot depends on those not choosing USNA but another Academy late in the game.

Know that our prayers are with you Federal and PLEASE keep us posted.

wisconsonavy2010 - Wasn't aware you could be accepted to NAPs and straight into the Academy simultaneously.

Are you sure about possibly getting both?

thanks for thoughts. She is correctable to 20/20 although she is in upper bracket. -6.00. BGO, MOC all have called. Just waiting. Thanks for thinking of us. I feel like we know everyone here already. I'm praying that all of your sons and daughters stay safe until I day.

I know what you mean about feeling like "family". This site was truly a God send for me. Just lucked into the site this March. Some really outstanding individuals and some great insight from current mids.

Might want to "dust off" the shot records and check out a few of the post concerning what to expect WHEN you get the notice (let's keep a positive thought!) ;)

And yes, 6.00 IS the Max and may be a big factor in the delay but, I believe Zaphod's eyes were in similar condition eh, Z?

Didn't someone get in with a -8.00 from peskemom's circle

no I just received an acceptance to NAPS

Thank your lucky stars you got that! GO CLASS OF 2011! :D

Mine were bad, but I don't think they were that bad. I think I had -4.5 or so.

Thanks wvdad...CLASS OF 2011! Just hoping the waiver comes through, but I'm keeping a positive mental attitude and praying that it's all in His plan for me. If not, then that's alright too but there's no doubt in my mind that a waiver will come through

federal... yes she did...and turned down her appointment for ROTC...but at least it proves if they want you, they'll make ways to accept you
