Need Advice

Hi guys,

I'm taking about 19 credits this Fall (I'm a little behind).

CLP3144
EEX3312
ARH1000
BSC2011 + lab
CHM2210

My two hardest classes are Biology II and Orgo I. I have Orgo I with Portmess. My question is, should I drop a science course or keep them both? For those who have taken Orgo I with Portmess, any tips to earn an A? I've been getting mixed reviews on ratemyprofessors, and I just don't know what to do. My concern is about getting an A in Orgo and Bio.

Taking 19 Credits with a lab seems absolutely insane to me. Take extra time, take a summer, don’t trash your GPA.

Don’t you need an override to go over 18 anyway?

It’s 19 credits including the lab. And yes.

Thanks for your input. I’ll reconsider.

I’m taking 20 credits next semester. It’s definitely doable, but you have to be committed to studying and putting in extra time. If you have a lot of other commitments, then I would definitely recommend you reconsider taking so many credits.

why would you take 20 credits?

I’m a transfer student, so UF isn’t really lenient on how many semesters I can attend. I’ve got three left not including summers, and I need to finish a bunch of science prereqs (i.e. lots of credits per class) for a graduate program unrelated to my major (English). It’s not an ideal situation, but I’m not really worried about it.
