Need advise on if 17Cr w/ 2 labs is to much

I am starting at a University this fall after finishing my generals at a local CC. I have taken up 17 credit hours and that is more than I ever have done. I am worried as my advisor said he thought it was too much at 14 credit hours with 2 labs.

However my schedule is as follows

(3) Plant Biology
(3) Prepatory Chemistry
(3) Math 960
(3) Physical Geology
(1) Physical Geology Lab
(3) Environmental Geoscience
(1) Environmental Geoscience Lab

I dont work as I quit my job in 2009 to pursue FT school and my job at the time didnt work around. I have no social life as I just moved back home. I dont suspect that to change, as school comes first. I just want peoples advice on if its doable without too much hassle. And any suggestions? THX

Well from my experience with CC you could not even show up to half the classes and walk with C’s. Every I know attending our local CC out of high school have 4.0GPA’s(every single one of them) and a lot of these kids were sub 3.0 high school students who also have jobs while going to school.

Math 960 isn’t very descriptive, 17 credits is the upper limit I’d say but not impossible(its just a lot to keep track of).

Those labs do not sound very difficult. Is prep chem equivalent to AP chem?- if so that is easy too. Since you are at a CC, you math 960 can not be upper division math, so that will fairly. It is not too much.

you got a pretty good overlap there
id say itd be time-consuming, but easy
