<p>First question: There is a 14 minute interval in which the trains can arrive with equal probability accross the interval (i.e., uniform distribution). The question addresses the probability of a train arriving within a 5 minute subinterval within the entire 14 minute interval. 5/14 = .357.
You sure the second question addresses the median and the mean, not the median and the mode?</p>
