Need an ego boost/reality check for UVA, Brown, Yale

The Basics:
White Male
Public School in Atlanta suburb
About 21st out of ~500 students
GPA: 97.45/100 weighted, ~93 UW
SAT: 800 Math, 800 Reading, 710 Writing (7 Essay)
SAT II: 800 Math 2, 780 Math 1, 750 US History

Courseload:
Basically the hardest I can take, definitely the hardest in my grade this year. Will finish with 11 APs, all three AP sciences (B and C for physics, so four total), and Calc 2 and 3 taken through Georgia Tech. AP scores so far are as follows:
World History - 5
Physics B - 5
Lang - 4
Calc BC - 5
US History - 5
This Year I'm taking Bio, Chem, US Gov, Macroecon, Physics C, and Lit

Extracurriculars:
Senior Class President
National Spanish Honor Society - At my school this involves community service
Model UN - three years, President for two
Student Connect - founder and president of this, where five high school students per day go to a local middle school and tutor sixth graders.
Job - Sales associate at a small party goods store Oct 07- Jan 08, then at a sub shop Oct 08-present, about 15-20 hours/week at both
Community Service: With the tutoring, NSHS and some volunteering at a local senior center, about 100 hours total

Honors/Awards:
National Merit Semifinalist, hopefully finalist pretty soon
Georgia Certificate of Merit - State award for being in top 5% of my class
Outstanding English Student - Schoolwide, about 60/2000 kids get this per year
Homecoming Court representative sophomore and senior year, Prom Court representative junior year (I included this on my apps to try and show that I'm personable)

Essays:
Common App essay was about my nephew, who inspired me to start the tutoring club and more generally start living a little less selfishly. Brown supplement was about the book Anthem, which influenced my social and political ideology (strong Libertarian). I used the same essay, slightly modified, for my Yale supplement. My UVA supplement was a cheesy essay about my favorite word being "tomorrow."

Interviews:
Yale interview was last Sunday, I'll admit that I wasn't very prepared but I think I did alright. He said he would write a recommendation, which as I understand he doesn't have to if he didn't like me. Brown interview will be Wednesday.

I've been accepted to GA Tech and I'm a semifinalist for the top scholarship there, as the title says, I also applied to UVA, Brown, and Yale as a political science major. Chances there? I tried to sell myself as being sociable and well-rounded in addition to my strong academics. My recommendations will be very good, of that I'm quite sure.

Thanks in advance for reading/responding!

I'd say you're in UVA. Idk much about Brown and their admissions. For Yale, I'd your competitive, but as always, HYP is a crapshoot.

Thanks aMak. Anyone else?

You're in at UVA, and you have an outstanding shot at Brown, and a strong possibility at Yale. There are not too many loose holes in your application, you seemed to have covered all of the basics. I would have not included the prom/homecoming info.....Did you consider Cornell, Stanford, Duke, Georgetown, and Emory? Outstanding candidate!

You're certainly in the running. Don't worry about the alumni interviews, they are mostly for your info and don't count for much.

In at UVA
Probably in at Brown (good grades and SAT scores)
Reject at Yale (you are only in the top 5% at your school, and for Yale you have to be at least top 3% to even be considered). Also, other than National Merit, your academic awards are just so-so.

Good luck.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

in at UVA, I would guess a good shot at brown-high match area, and idk Yale is fickle. Good luck man.

hey man, yale doesn’t like people that are below the top 3% at their schools, especially when they’re white. have you considered darkening your skin color in order to play the race card?

Your probly in at UVA, but low chance for Brown and no shot at Yale. No sports? 93 unweighted? That is soft as a baby’s bottom.
