Need an unbiased open

I have recently applied to the University of Central Florida, however I have never visted the college. I've been in and around the area a whole lot and really love it. My question is though, how is the education there? I mean it's a beautiful area, full of tons and tons for a college student to do, but how is there biology program? This is the field I plan to study in and this is extremely important for me as I plan on going into medical school. I have been accepted at temple and drexel so far in Philidelphia. How do those two schools compare to UCF? Thank you very much1

I think you really need to visit the university, and in particular, the college you are most interested in. You may find programs and opportunities available to top students that would tip the scales one way or another. When we were doing all the college visits, the visit to the department that my oldest son was going to major in was one of the important factors in his final decision. If you can't visit, call, and ask to speak to the dean or an academic advisor for biology.

UCF has three options that I know of. In the College of Science you can major in Biology or Biology -Preprofessional (med/vet school prep) or in the Burnett College of Biomedical Science you could major in Molecular Biology and Microbiology (M & M).

Temple and Drexel are in very urban environments with real winter conditions and a lot of history around them. UCF is a very large university in a suburban sprawl environment with shiny new buildings and warm weather conditions with tourist areas not far away. The UCF medical school is brand new.

Make sure to also check out UCF's Accelerated Medical Degree Program -
(UCF/USF Program Admissions) that is available through the Burnett Honors College.
