I am wondering about how need-aware schools evaluate whether to accept an applicant who has financial need.

Do they look at the data closely enough to see whether a student would need substantial FA for all four years? What if the student only needs moderate FA for the two years there are multiple siblings in college and would be substantially full pay the other two years?

Are there shades of gray here or does simply having ANY financial need potentially imperil an admissions deicions?

Any school reps out there who can respond?
