Hey. so I am an international student from Nigeria and I applied to Cornell a while ago. I also submitted my CSS profile some two weeks ago. However, due to the exchange rate and economic situation in Nigeria, the dollar equivalent of what I can afford is quite low ~$7000 compared to the almost 70000 fees for Cornell. I also just read that Cornell decisions are need-aware for international students. I wanted to know just by how much this reduces my chances of getting in
@Fejiro Really…all we can tell you is that your ability to pay will be considered when your application for admissions is reviewed. How much will this affect your chances? No way to tell you that. Add to that…Cornell will also look at the admissions application materials as well…and if you don’t get acceoted, it might not have anything at all to do,with your finances.
