How is michigan state when it comes to need based aid, and how do they help when it comes to making up the difference in grants to the amount of tuition. thanks. im more worried about having NO way to fund it rather than being in too much debt

my EFC was 6472...Cost of Attendance [as determined by the university] was $20,500.
i recieved $1400 in need-based aid, labeled as the MSU assistance grant.

i then recieved $10,000 in PLUS loans, and the rest in federal subsidized/unsubsidized loans.

so you paid 30000 to go there?...or...what did u do?

i ended up getting just enough in outside scholarships to make it possible to attend this year, paying absolutely nothing [loans, or out of pocket].

but, next year is going to be a different story...

My son also received $1400 MSU Assistance Grant with a EFC of 4700. The rest was offered in loans and work.
