<p>I checked IUP website and it states 2 years at IUP. I thought most engineering at Pitt was 5 years, but I could have been mistaken because the kids I was thinking of did co-op which probably added the additional time.</p>
<p>The SUNYs do seem to be kind in any major to us PA folks. Without merit they are only $2,000-$3,500 higher than the PA affiliates, but with merit can be much less.</p>
<p>The biggest issue with PA and engineering is that the PASHHE schools don’t offer engineering (PASHHE are the “true” state schools with low tuition). That leaves the state affiliates of Pitt, Penn State and Temple which are $23,500-$26,000 COA. Not the highest in the country, but not as kind as many states.</p>
