I leave for school in 21 days, and I would like to make some money to supplement my savings; however, as I mentioned before, I leave in less than a month, so I don't know what my chances are of getting hired anywhere. I don't know my neighbors well and extended family lives far away, so I can't mow the lawn or babysit based on word of mouth. I'm willing to work odd jobs or online. Any suggestions?

work study. email your schools financial aid office so they can put you on the list for work study.

Maybe you can sell stuff online? It might not get you money right away, but it’s a start. You could sell old video game consoles, old games, movies, books, etc. Again, it’s not a lot of money and it could take a long time to sell the items, but it would be something.

Do your parents have any friends/co-workers who have children? How about your friends and their families? If you babysit even just a few nights over the next 3 weeks, it’ll get you some pocket money to help with college expenses.

Also, if you didn’t receive a work study fund on your financial aid award, I don’t know if you can get it, but you can definitely contact your school about any on-campus jobs. If you can get one during the school year, that’ll definitely help out.

You waited this long ?
Can you hold a yard sale to get rid of what you/ your family don’t want?
Put up a notice offering to help/ tutor students before they get back to school, or offer to help rising seniors with their college appa and essays?
It’s too bad you left it til this late. Maybe you can find a job on or off campus once you get to school.

Have you tried writing articles online? Content mills might give you some fast money.
