Need Blind?

Is the Tufts admission process need blind? I'm having a hard time finding that information on the university's website. Am I looking in all the wrong places? Thanks.

Not entirely. Financial aid doesn’t have enough money allocated to it to make need-blind work. The university had need-blind admissions for a while, and then had to suspend it for the last bit of the application pool in 2009 ([Tufts accepts 26 percent of pool, suspends need-blind admissions - Tufts Daily - Tufts University](http://www.tuftsdaily.com/tufts-accepts-26-percent-of-pool-suspends-need-blind-admissions-1.1639896#.Tuz0KdWwWDk)). I think they try to do most of the application pool need-blind for as long as they have the money, but I’m not sure about that.

So in the case of need blind admission, does anyone know exactly how this works since the question about financial aid is front and center on the common app?
