Need blind

i needed some help finding colleges which are NEED BLIND to INTERNATIONALS.

I know some:
Harvard
Princeton
Williams
Yale
Amherst
MIT
Dartmouth

Are there more? And correct me if these are NOT need blind.

I believe that’s a complete list.

Remember though that just because a school is not need-blind doesn’t mean they won’t choose to admit a student with high need. It just means they may consider need in making decisions, but if it’s a generous school that meets full-need, and the applicant is a student they’d like to have, then of course that student could be accepted.

really?? whoa. So i’m applying to amherst and if there’s a applicant with similar stats and all other things, and if they want to choose another applicant over me, they choose it on the basis of aid?

No, what I’m saying is that even schools that are not need blind, may still accept a student with high need. I am talking about colleges not on the list above.

Just because a student has high need does not mean they won’t be given serious consideration at a need-aware school. Yes, need may factor into a decision at such a school, but it’s not necessarily the determining factor.

Amherst is need-blind, so that suggests that need won’t be a factor in admission decisions at all.

Sometimes, though, students with high need might overlook the fact that even at need-aware colleges, plenty of students with high need are also accepted for admission ad can get excellent aid packages depending on the college’s FA policies.

Remember even at schools that are need blind to international students, the international pool of applicants is very large and there are only a small number of seats for international students.

Also look at schools where you stand a chance of getting good merit money and as Rent stated, schools that will look at stellar students who have a high need (this may mean that you may have to come down a tier or two, but you are looking for funding).

yeah, i’m having trouble finding colleges that give out A LOT of aid (my family contribution will be only 3.5K max!!) AND have a not so competitive applicant pool.

@rent
sorry, i missed out the “not” in your first post. My bad!!
