and perhaps Asperger's Syndrome. She completed 9th grade but didn't finish 10th and looks like she won't finish it again this year. She is capable of doing all her work, and is very intelligent, but refuses to go to school often and doesn't turn in her assignments. We need help! So far the only school that looks appropriate online is Glenholme in CT. It is $125,000 a year!!! Yikes. Any other recommendations? We are in NY so the closer the better. Thank you.

PS we tried homeschooling and that didn’t work. Her executive functioning skills and motivation are too weak to stay on task. I am desperate. When I google boarding schools for girls with Aspergers I come up with very little and nothing useful!

I think you need to deal with the depression before expecting academic performance. Does she have a good psychiatrist, effective medication, therapy such as DBT or CBT to deal with her anxiety issues?

What about Purnell School in NJ? Or Grove School in CT?
I will second Snowdog - as someone who has dealt with similar issues she will not get better simply by switching environments if the root cause of her issues are still the same. Your first priority is a psychologist and/or psychiatrist. A boarding school might isolate her. Does she have disability accommodations in school? She sounds like she could greatly benefit from a 504 Plan or IEP.
Have you considered having her get a GED instead? School isn’t for everyone.
