Hello, I have completed my 9th and 10th grade in a CBSE based school and doing my 11th and 12th in the AP State Board. Could you please elaborate about how I can get a report that shows my Class Rank since my college doesn't really rank us? Also I have applied to Texas A&M and Austin, both of which have an upload option for different documents. Is uploaded my transcripts through their upload system enough or do I have to actually mail them? If I have to mail, whats the purpose of the Upload Transcripts option they provide applicants with?

Hi Eeshlikhith, If your school doesn’t provide rank, it’s okay. You may leave it blank. I am pretty sure that the rank is not compulsory. Also you need to upload the mark sheets through their system. And according to my knowledge, they require you to send an attested copy by mail, after you are accepted.
Hope that helps.

I am not really sure about “after accepted” part. Let me share a screen shot

Are you sure Class Rank is optional? :)

and here is the documents tab.

They did receive the transcript via the upload but the Alerts tab still says they haven’t received. :|

Wow, this is tricky. Well most schools create transcripts for colleges. Some schools create transcripts that provide the students performance for all 4 years - 9th to 12th. So anyways, you may want to ask the principal of your school to provide you one.
After checking your screen shots I can only say that the application has a terrible interface, and yeah - do as it says.
sorry can’t help you on this.

Well thanks for sparing your time :)

Quick question, do universities accept scores of January (2014) TOEFL tests?

Yep. January would work.

Yes they would accept the January scores. The reason being TOEFL is a test of language proficiency and essentially not an academic parameter. It is a measures of your English skills that you would need to succeed in a classroom environment as a non-native.

The transcript is a single page document with all 4 years of grades along with some or all of these…subjects taken, rank, percentage, percentile, number of students in each class, class average… so one look and it is easy to assess a candidate academically through their High School years.

The Report Card is something you send after you are accepted. It is signed and stamped by the school and it verifies the scores that you put in the transcript at the time of applying. So, therefore, it is attested and serves as a proof of what you reported, at the time of applying, is, in fact true.

@anialways- International applicants: Is promotion within your educational system based upon standard leaving examinations given at the end of lower and/or senior secondary school by a state or national leaving examinations board? (Students studying in the US typically answer no to this question.)
-Yes
-No
I’m a student from India, what should I check?

if you studied in a CBSE/ICSE/State board school you should check yes as you can not graduate without the board exams

bookworm the answer is “yes” …as savemylife said…if your school follows one of the Boards.
