I completly do not understand what you are saying randimom, can you please explain?

But here’s how I see it. When I get to vote, I will register as a Democrat. I hate the nastiness of the Republican party. Although I don’t like the thought of abortion – people should be free to choose. Homosexual people should definitely be allowed to marry. And we should have a progressive taxation system and better regulation of industry. Climate change is the greatest challenge we, collectively, as human beings, will face – and we should put in our strongest efforts to combat it. Poor people should get help with their lives. Capitalism is the spirit of America, yet, when it comes to health, I believe that evreyone should have cheap and guranteed access to health care. I don’t know what to say about the death penalty, although it does seem “cruel and unusual” to me. While people should be allowed to have guns – why the hell do people need assault weapons? We should ban them.

On the other hand, I tend to be more centrist when it comes to security. (But I am smart enough to know that the people who attacked us on 9-11 didn’t come from Iraq, and we should have never gone in there. We took our eyes of the ball) I mean these are cold blooded terrorists we are dealing with – we should definitely torture them like hell. We should give them no rights at all. The Geneva Conventions apply to soldiers, not crazies who’s allegiance lies to no country. We should go after them with full force in Afghanistan. And we should have the strongest military in the world, so that if the time and situation comes, we can crush the Chinese.

Just feel that people should follow rules to immigrate, thats all.

But even with all its faults, I know that America is the greatest country in the world. I look forward to being an American.
