Discuss an issue of local, national, or international concern. Why is it important to you? How do you think it should be addressed?

I am writing a five hundred word response to this essay for the University of Michigan applicant. I think I may have a hard time making it personal. For the issue I am writing about I have NO personal experiences relating to it. Would simply explaining why I find it important and how it should be addressed make it personal?

I have no idea what I could write for the other two options, so this is the only one I can really write about. Please help!

Bump.......I really need some advice...Gotta get this app done....

Explain your views on the war. How has that affected you? How has it affected emotional. Talk about pro choice or pro life. Something that sets you on fire just thinking about it.

Well, the topic I think I'm going to write about (prefer not to say what it is) does "set me on fire," but I don't know if it will be personal enough. Like I asked before...would simply explaining why I find it important and how it should be addressed make it personal?

I'm sure you've had some interaction with your subject one way or another. Maybe talk about the reason that gets you fired up about it.
