<p>Hi so I am brainstorming ideas for my common app essay. I was thinking of picking the 1st option where it asks to write about a story that defines me. I want to write about how I went to a boarding school for troubled teens (rehab) and how this experience was life changing for me. I'm not sure if colleges would look at rehab the same way I do and I want to put it in a way so that they can see it how I see it. Can you guys please help me out with this?</p>
<p>Hi! I definitely think this would be an unique idea…of course, as you mentioned, it is a bit controversial. The object of the essay is to make you look humble but at the same time accomplished. If you are very careful, I believe you may be able to write a genuine and heart-touching piece. I think the most important part is how you convey the information you have!</p>
