Need evaluation of my chances

I am a rising senior at Plant High School in Tampa, FL. Though still undecided on a career path, I'm considering pursuing a law degree, perhaps in the field of intellectual property. I love to write and take great pride in each and every paper I submit (right down to the most mundane in nature)
Now down to hard numbers. My best combined SAT score is a 1530/1600 (2300/2400). I've taken 2 Subject tests, US History and Chemistry, on which I earned an 800 and 760, respectively. Also, I have taken 5 AP courses to date (Chemistry, Psychology, English Language, US History, and World History) and have earned 5s on each exam. I was commended as a National Merit Scholar, awaiting further information as to Semi-finalists. Finally, I have a weighted GPA of 5.72 (unweighted 4.0) As for extracurricular merits, I am the serving co-president of our Social Studies Honor Society, as well as Historian for our Spanish Honor Society. I have been actively involved in our school's chapter of Youth in Government, serving as VP of Legislation last year. I've participated in several school drama programs, including a few competitions, and have even been awarded with three Henry's for various acting achievements. As for other honor societies, I'm a member of Thespians, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Honor Society, and Beta Honor Club. Oh, and I have around 111 service hours to my name.
As I have stated before, I'm still in the early stages of my search for the right university. Could anyone offer any insight into possible options, given the aforementioned information? What are the best schools where I could have a reasonable shot at acceptance? How high should I reasonably keep my expectations?

It sounds like you have a decent chance wherever you want to go, it really does come done to your essays, recs, and interviews though.

For pre-law, I would say HYS, Columbia, U of Chicago, NYU, Duke, Berkeley, U of Michigan, U Penn, University of Virginia, Cornell, Georgetown, and Northwestern. I’m not really sure about any other schools, but these are some suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve been considering several of those options already (namely Duke, Georgetown, and VA) The rest are also great schools, but I’d prefer to stay somewhere along the East Coast, be it New England, Mid-Atlantic, or even Southeast.
I’ve also been looking into Princeton and Dartmouth. I know these are among some of the most prestigious and selective schools in the nation (especially the former), but do you think I have any shot at either? Also, are these strong choices for a pre-law curriculum?

You definitely have a shot, and you seem really passionate. Good luck.

If you like the culture of the school, consider Washington and Lee in Lexington, VA. With your stats, you’d have shot at the Johnson Scholar program, and they’re excellent in pre-law/humanities.
