Need for resume?

<p>How important or relevant is it to attach a separate resume with the common app when all the EC info is already shown on the common app? My sons school regards the resume as a matter of course, but i'm not quite sure why if you don't have much to elaborate on. Is it much easier for the adcoms to read when included on a separate piece of paper?? </p>

<p>Please reply especially if you have experience as an adcom at a top level or ivy college.</p>

<p>It’s not important at all. The application itself has enough room to put down what your son needs to put down. There are pretty much no adcoms on this site, just current college students and freaked-out high school students. But I’m just using my experience as someone who’s filled out the application and got into a lot of top schools. If a separate resume is really that important, why wouldn’t they make it part of the application?</p>
