Ok so my friend does not understand how to use a forum, so Ill just have to ask for him. He has only recieved a nom from his House of Representative guy to WP and his SATs are a below average and he has no idea what hes going to do. I would say other credentials but I dont know anything else lol.

I was wondering if someone who had the time could IM on AIM at DontWurryBHappy1 or email at catch22j0e@aol.com

thank you before hand.
(I am an applicant for USAFA so thats why I am helping him)

Um, it’s not hard to sign up for this forum. Lol, takes one second. And two, if he got a nomination from a Congressman, I believe, then I guess, he just got to wait for an appointment.

Do not know about WP, but I know that AFA and USNA, both state what the SAT must be at to be qualified as academically qualified. On the AFA page it states with **** even with a nom, you may not be considered competitive.

If WP is like AFA and USNA, there should be a candidate scoring page, showing how they come up with scores…i.e., AFA is 60% PAR, 20% recs, essays and board input, 20% CFA and EC’s.
On that page it states what you must have on SAT/ACT to be considered competitive.

Peteyflow is right, it takes 2 seconds to sign up, why don’t you just walk him through the page and he can then find more info to put his fears to rest

Just went on WP, here are their stats for the SAT:

Range Verbal Math
700-800 19% 22%
600-699 50% 54%
500-599 28% 23%
400-499 3% 1%
300-399 0% 0%
Mean 631 646

Hope this helps

Not saying he will not get in, but I hope he applied for other colleges and tried for a ROTC schalarship. It is wise to do this because, even if you get accepted, something might happen physically to lose your appt., so you need a back up for the what if situation
