Need Grad School Advice

Hey guys, I'm going to be a senior engineer at U. Michigan this coming fall, and I want to go to grad school for Financial/Industrial Engineering. I feel like I'm behind in looking at schools, so I was wondering what schools were feasible with my qualifications...Any help or suggestions woudl be appreciated

GRE:
800Q
610V
5.5A

GPA:
3.7/4.0 overall
3.9/4.0 major GPA (Industrial engineering)
3.85/4.0 minor GPA (minor in economics)

I have one summer of internship experience, no research experience, but I think I'll have pretty good letters of rec., leadership experience, etc...

Considering grad school was kind of last minute for me, so i really need advice. My dream schools would be Columbia, Berkeley, and Cornell. Do I have a chance at these schools or should I only consider less prestigious schools? Also, if anyone has advice on other schools for financial engineering (I don't think it's that popular of a major), I'd really appreciate it.

thanks again for the help I appreciate it, I'm realizing now how ignorant i am of grad school admissions

Michigan is an excellent school and your stats are fine. Read the first page of the Graduate Admissions 101 thread and start working on your SOP(s) based on what you see on those school's websites.

Then talk to your professors (the one's who'll be writing your LORs) as soon as office hours are posted.

You have plenty of time - don't relax, but don't freak out either.

I'm going to Columbia with similar statistics (if not somewhat inferior), so I think you have a very good chance. Then again, I'm going into a different engineering department, so maybe IEOR is a little more selective, but I wouldn't classify as it as a dream school.

At Columbia, it IS a pretty popular major. I hear it's one of the best in the country.
