Need Guidance for Study Abroad

Hi,
Everyone, can you give deep guidance for studying abroad?
Thanks

This question is far too vague to answer!

Are you a student who is a citizen of some country who wishes to study in college elsewhere…or are you looking for colleges that have study abroad programs as part of their offerings to students.

One daughter took a semester abroad in high school (going to South America). She arranged it through her high school, which had a program with a high school abroad. All of her classes were in Spanish (except for the English class, where she became almost a co-teacher). The cost to us was just the cost of the flight, plus a bit of spending money. She stayed with a family that had a daughter her age. Then their daughter came and stayed with us (while studying here in the US). This was a very positive experience for all of us. Some high schools and most universities have some similar sort of study abroad program where you can arrange things through the high school or university (although if you attend university abroad you will typically stay in a dorm).

The same daughter then studied “slightly abroad” for university. We live in the US. She attended university in Canada for the full four years. She just applied to universities in Canada in much the same way that you would apply to universities in the US. Look at their web site. Fill in the application. Follow directions. Sending transcripts and so on is pretty much the same as it would be applying to universities in the US. If you are not a Canadian citizen, then the universities, along with your acceptance, will send information on how to apply for the required student visa.

It is also common for students from other countries to attend university in the US. Here you might want to look carefully at the cost of education. University can be expensive in the US. There are a few universities that meet “full need” for international students. However, this is “need” as they define it, and admissions is very competitive for international students at any university that will meet full need for international students. If you attend university in the US as an international student, then you should expect to be required to return home after graduating. Whether having a degree from a university in the US will help or hurt your chances of getting a job in your home country is likely to depend upon which country you come from, and might also depend upon your major and what sort of job you might be looking for.

If you give us more information, then we can provide more accurate recommendations.
