Need help addressing UC prompts..

Hey guys, I recently met with my AP Lit teacher and we went over topics and I think we are in the right direction but I'm not sure if I want to incorporate some things in and which subject to pick for which prompt.

I am going to write about my passion for guitar, and what I have entailed through the journey/experiences. I have a bunch of reasoning and I don't foresee sounding bland. The other topic is going to be about the death of my father, living with a single parent my whole life and then talking about how it has shaped my personality/perspective on the world and how it has motivated my aspirations.

I know they sound bland but I'm not going to go into detail here. I don't want the death one to be a sob story and will just a little background info then go straight to talking about who I am because of it. Which prompt should I pick for which...I thought the guitar should be prompt #2.

Also, I'm not sure if I should speak about being a 1st Gen. college student as well in the essay or save that for somewhere else.
