Currently an undergrad Senior with a GPA of 2.4, graduating this May and I am worried as can be. Over the course of my last 3 semesters, I got 4 D’s because of my illness that pulled me away from class time. I want to know if I will get into a good law school depending on the chance of getting a good LSAT score. Also, is it a good idea to attach some sort of medical proof as to explain the recent down grades?
You will have a challenge getting into law school with your current GPA. A strong LSAT will help but your odds are long. Explaining your poor performance because of illness will help but only if you show a big improvement in your final semesters. That being said, law school enrollments are down these days and that might give you a better chance at some of the less selective schools. Consider working for a while, seeing if you can get into a Masters program to show your academic ability and try after that.
Before I transferred to my current college, my GPA was at a 3.6, is there an accumulation of both GPAs from both schools? (My last school was a 4-year college)
