Need help choosing a college!

Hello. I am currently a senior in high school. All of my college applications are in and I am struggling to narrow down my choices. I have applied to: UT-Austin, Texas Tech, U of Wyoming, Western State Colorado, and U of MN. Being a MN resident, the U of MN is more of a fallback option. UT is a big stretch as an OOS student so let’s assume I don’t get in. Therefore, my choice is between Texas Tech, Wyoming, and Western State CO. I’ll tell you a little about myself:
-Huge downhill skier (huge pro for Western and pro for Wyo)
-College sports fan (huge pro for Texas Tech/pro for Wyoming)
-Conservative politically but enjoy other viewpoints (pro for all)
-Money isn’t a huge concern, but cheaper is preferred (pro for Western/Wyoming)

When it comes down to it, I don’t think that there is a “bad” decision I could make at this point. But I would still like to make the most logical one. If anyone has attended any of these schools I would love to have some insight. Thanks for the help!

-Nick

Have these places accepted you yet?

Wyoming and Western yes. TT I’m still waiting on an official decision but I fall under the “auto admit” catagory based on my stats. UTA/UMN I haven’t heard yet.

Wyoming is the one that meets all of your criteria with the best academics.
Any reason why you didn’t apply to Montana State, UUtah, and Colorado State?

In the end you’re right, Wyo is probably the best choice.

All three of those schools were being considered at one point. Ive been to Bozeman, SLC, and Ft Collins and honestly I didn’t love any of them. Bozeman is a little too far out there, SLC has it’s weird quirks, and Ft. Collins just didn’t feel like a college town. I could be wrong, but those were the vibes I got.
