So, this is my first post here, hopefully this is the right place, I'm looking for some help.

For whatever reason, one of my friends wishes to study in Europe (there is no changing her mind, as it's her parents' wishes and they are paying for everything). She did graduate from the University of Toronto with her hBSc. Although she wishes to get a masters there, however she plans to return back to North America for a phd. She aims to be a Psychologist in North America.

So the school she chooses has to be one she would even have a chance to apply back for.

The two schools right now are:

University of Wales Bangor
http://www.psychology.bangor.ac.uk/postgraduate/index.php.en?menu=0&catid=0

From my understanding they have a 1 year masters program, but they were ranked top 3 in the UK for psychology or something like that. I am not 100% certain which masters degree under the psychology department she was accepted into.

Vrije University in Amsterdam
http://www.vuamsterdam.com/Prospective_students/index.cfm/home_file.cfm/fileid/F56008B5-E551-A490-797815C4593E5E82/subsectionid/D16A63D4-9FE9-4CBB-81281D8A720F2085

They offer 'international' masters programs, which are 2 years in length, and she was accepted into the Cognitive Neuropsychology MSc program.

Now there is no doubt in my mind the university of wales is much more well known than the Vrije University, but one thing that stands out in my mind is Vrije has 2 years masters like north america, they declare them to be 'international' and doing some digging around, they have this exchange program with North American universities (For their masters students) called Globe. One of them for psychology is exchange to University of Ottawa in Canada.

Other than that I don't know too much, which is why I'm asking, anyone know? She honestly needs all the help she can get, also because she IS an international student from asia.

Thanks
