<p>I wanted to ask before hand while I had more time to think and maybe eliminate some of the colleges.</p>
<p>I was accepted into UCSC, UCD, and SJSU. I am still waiting on results from UCSD, UCB, and SCU (Santa Clara University).</p>
<p>The problem is, due to SJSU's date for SIR, I want to make most of my decision before May 1st.</p>
<p>I am a Computer Science major, and I really can't decide what school to go to for my transfer. I've been looking over College Ratings, trying to find information on their respective computer science programs, and still can't figure out which is the better choice.</p>
<p>My father seems to be leaning heavily for SJSU, mostly because its very close to us, and in the past year or 2 he has heard supposedly very good things about their CS department.</p>
<p>UCSC seems to have a better CS department than it used to have when I tried to apply as a high school senior, and the game design focused CS degree seems a bit more to my taste.
Also to note, there is probably gonna be a chance I don't go here because the Baskin School of Engineering that covers all teh Engineering/CS classes declined me, even though UCSC accepted me. So Unless my appeal works, I will be dropping this choice.</p>
<p>UCD I know very little about and is mostly on reputation that it is a great school.</p>
<p>I just want to know some opinions on which of these schools would seem the better choice. Location/Scenery/etc. don't matter to me much. I just want to have an enjoyable time and be able to get a decent job prior or after graduation.</p>
<p>Now, I personally don't really think I will get into UCB or SCU, but UCB is my top choice, and SCU is kinda on its own, so I want to hear opinions on that too.</p>
<p>So to summarize, between UCD, UCSC, SJSU, or maybe SCU (pretty much if I get accepted to UCB, I'll be taking that, so this is a if I don't get accepted to UCB scenario, Unless there is something I don't know and that some of these other colleges provide just as much as UCB is hyped up to provide).</p>
<p>I just need some opinions. I will probably still do some more research. I did most of this when I was applying, but its still difficult for my to narrow it down. I got a week to decide what to do with choices, not to mention SCU will probably come out in May by the looks of it, which makes things hard since SJSU wants its Intent to Enroll by May 1st 11:59pm, the UCs are fine, they don't care till June 1st.</p>
