Hi all,

I am an international student living in Switzerland who wants to study Biomedical Engineering. I have gotten into Purdue, Univ. of Rochester, Case Western Reserve Univ. and Boston Univ. I really can't decide where to go. I like BU and Purdue the most but the prob is that the Biomed course at Purdue is not accredited by ABET and it is relatively new (2 yrs old I believe). Also, all Purdue engineer freshers start off with the 'First Years Program' and are then admitted into engineering fields according to their GPA's. So there is that element of uncertainty that worries me. Could you please give me your suggestions/advice.

Thanks! :D

bump! plz guys! :D

University of Rochester is a good bet.

It is smaller and more intimate than the other schools, which, contrary to what some say, means more undergraduate research and publication experience if you want it. Also, URochester has a program where if you feel your education was not well-rounded, the school will pay for a fifth-year.

Although Purdue is an excellent school, remember that it is not in a city per say like the others. BU's general reputation is not as good as CWRU or URochester. So it depends on what is most important to you.

Hope this helps. My vote would be URochester, CWRU, Purdue, then BU. Again, URochester and CWRU are toss-ups. Then Purdue. Then BU. IMHO.

Thanks man! Anymore advice/opinions? :)

Bumping yet again...cmon guys...no one else has any advice/opinions to offer me? :(
