EC's:
*150+ Hours of volunteering at a hospital
*100 hours of community service
*Internship at a Catholic Hospital
*Shadowing at the same hospital(Basically like following the doctor around and watching what he does- kinda the same but kinda different)
*One Year Swim Team- Started Varsity though(As of Junior Year, will continue my senior year though, obviously.)
*One Year School Tennis Player - Once again, started Varsity(Previously played tennis out of school, though)
*Member of NHS(may run for office Sr. Yr though, but it would be pointless after I apply to Princeton, yes? :P)
*President of Speech and Debate(two years, senior year will be my third)
*Member of Medical Club
*Semifinalist for PSAT (score of 225)
*Tutoring elementary kids at a local public elementary school for my second year
*Took Calculus BC over the summer of my Junior year at a university
*Member of Foreign Language Club
*Working Experience at Barnes and Noble over the summer
*Attended Debate Camp twice so far at Stanford- advanced lab

So that's about all I can think of as of now, what are my chances of being accepted EA/ED at Princeton? And would it be worth it to wait it out til my first semester of Senior year is over? We run the block schedule so it's possible to get about two more AP class grades in by then- also raising my GPA.

Please, if you read this leave any comment that will help me get a better understanding of what exactly my chances are-
One more thing, other colleges I'm considering are
-Stanford
-Yale
-Harvard
-Dartmouth
-Columbia
-UChicago
-Duke
-UCB/UCLA
-WashU
-SLU(St. Louis University, my safety)

If you could rate me on Princeton I'd greatly appreciate it, but also if you could rate me on these universities I'd also.. greatly appreciate it, lol.

you have a 25% chance of being admitted

I say 12.8965843545231568456354123854535%.

Funny how all these "Princeton chances" threads pop up since the release of the latest US News ranking. Seriously, why do you WANT to go to princeton? What's so special about princeton that makes you want to go?

You seem to lack genuine interest in the college. Trust me, this lack of interest will more than be obvious to colleges.

yea you should know whether princeton uses early decision or early action at least

Sorry- Chances for princeton ED...
And- you say I have no interest for princeton, but here is why I do have a genuine interest..
1. Campus is beautiful, one of the best i've seen in my opinion, it's like... for some people when you walk the campus you just get that feeling that you fit there
1b. Who could also forget "A Beautiful Mind?" :P
2. There math department is top-notch, as I have read and heard from people and counselors all over, and math is one of the things I am most interested in- but that could change I suppose.

Those are just two, but I still feel that I am interested in Princeton other then the fact it has prince in its name.. thanks- any other chances would greatly help me

I'm also confident my essay is strong, been working on it since Junior year to make me stand out, and I think I've accomplished that.

"been working on it since Junior year to make me stand out"

i think you will stand out. your essay will look very refined, to the point where your voice doesnt show and it seems taylored to an admissions officer.

i'm not going too comment about whether the op really wants to go to princeton for princeton, or the name because how is anyone supposed to narrow down a college list if prestige isnt involved on some level.

the list looks like a copy and paste of USNWR's top 26 colleges with a few thrown out because you cant apply to 26 schools and stay sane.

I didn't mean I refined it to where it's not me... I just meant I've been playing around with ideas- and think I have chosen the best one that fully describes me.

I don't know how else to portray my interest to attending Princeton... but I know I do have a genuine interest

I won't mind if you don't comment on chances of attending the others- as I'm mainly focused on Princeton... so sorry if that upset you?

Any other help is greatly appreciated

x1429, ignore the mean people. They're just not happy people.

You have good chances at Princeton ED. Midwest, great test scores, good grades, hard classes/good AP scores, and good extracurriculars. Nothing about you really stands out from your stats, but it looks like your essay might. Good luck! We can't say for sure whether you'll get in or not but you're looking good.
There are 2 things I recommend for you that could give you a better idea of your position: check out the stats of people from your school who have gone to Princeton before, and use the search tool on the toolbar at the top of this page to find the Princeton class of 2010 ED results thread made by the users of this website.

here's the link to that official College Confidential ED Pton 2010 thing

Thank you, Mallomar, that helps alot :)

You're welcome. You know, it's strange. I was dead set on applying to Yale EA this year, and the fact that US News ranked Princeton #1 just made me want to go to Yale even more! I even started a Yale EA thread on this site...but now, I'm gradually becoming more and more interested in Princeton. I love their application...even their supplement to the Common App is great.

Yale reminds me of Harry Potter.
Princeton seems so amazing.... I'm pullin' for ya though :P

Little to no chance and WUSL is not a safety for you. Read through these boards more. Asian, below average ECs, nothing that stands out. Not a good picture at any ivy now.

WUSL is not my safety..
SLU is
Washington University in St. Louis and St. Louis University are two different Universities, bobby.
Why little to no chance?

Asian, upper middle class, non ivy ecs. Just don't see it.

"Asian, upper middle class, non ivy ecs. Just don't see it."

what are ivy ec's then?
