<p>the FAFSA is not due on the 4th. Only your financial aid application and copies of you and your parents' 2006 federal income-tax returns etc
The CSS is due Feb 15 and the FAFSA is due by May 1 or earlier</p>

<p>It's asking whether your parent(s) intend to claim the named individual as a dependent on your 2007 tax returns.</p>
<p>As far as FAFSA is concerned, yes you don't have to file your taxes until April 15. However, realize that if you don't file it earlier, you may not get an estimated aid package at the time of admission. This is not the year to delay filing your FAFSA and taxes.</p>
