Need Help Finding A College/University!!

I'm currently a junior in high school, and I need to get down a list of colleges that I want to go visit during the summer ASAP due to scheduling flights etc.

What I'm looking for is a college that has a BFA in Musical Theatre in California (close to LA), Texas (close to Austin), or the East Coast between Vermont and Maryland. I'm coming from a US Territory (Guam) and my family doesn't have a lot of money. My GPA is somewhere between a 2.7 and a 3.0. and am fine with either a Community College, regular college, or university.

I'm having a hard time doing this on my own, any help that I can get is greatly appreciated!

For music in California, you should definitely apply to UCLA and USC. The admission standards are high for these schools, but if you can convince them to let you in, you won’t be sorry. That said, don’t go to either of these schools unless they give you some type of financial aid. CSU Fullerton and CSU Long Beach are also known for their arts programs, and they’re cheaper.

use the CC college search. Put in your gpa, scores, the states you are interested in, and theatre to see what comes up. Don’t put in much else in terms of size of school, etc. just to get a better idea of what schools match up with your stats. A 2.7-3.0 is going to limit your choices a bit, but not to worry, you will still have some options.

The UC schools aren’t within your GPA range in the southern area of CA (UCLA, UCSD, UCSB,etc.). But some of the Cal State schools will be options for you. I also had some success finding schools on Peterson’s guide dot com. Good luck!
