okay, i have a few questions (all involving me searching for summer programs):

1.) does anyone know of any prestigious (or at least well-known) summer programs for the following artistic disciplines?:

advanced voice (classical & jazz)
guitar
music theory & composition
photography
graphic/digital arts

2.) ld debaters: what are some of your favorite summer ld programs?

3.) are there any summer opportunities for cognitive science? linguistics? psychology?

4.) does anyone know of any summer internships in the media business (especially the film and television industries)?

5.) can anyone recommend some good intensive language courses (actually held in the foreign nation)? (i've always wanted to learn french, but i can't take it in school... from my local library's "learn-on-your-own" books, i've gotten a pretty solid novice/intermediate proficiency, but i want to become fluent and immerse myself in french culture.)

sorry, i know that's a lot of things... obviously, i might (and that's a very likely "might") not end up doing everything, but i want to try out a lot of different things.

does anyone know of any good programs for anything i listed (i'm obviously not going to do everything, but i need something to start from)? it would be really helpful... thanks again.

I don't know about prestige but perhaps check out some schools known for the arts like Julliard or NYU or something they might have a summer program in those disciplines . . . but college summer progs cost a bit too.

You're welcome. That website really helped me when I was looking for summer programs last year. It's not completely comprehensive though, so if you're interested in a certain college campus, you should visit that college's website.

Do a google search with specific terms for specific programs.

"High School" summer "music theory" had 842,000 hits
"High School" summer "digital arts" had 153,000 hits
I'm sure you can find something using this method.
