Need help finding a school for animation in Chicago

Hey everyone (^_^)
Im looking for a good school for animation with a "doable" cost in or around Chicago. I have been looking at the American Academy of Art but it seems that their cost is way too high for a school with out some kind of living area or campus (about $20.000.00 a year...).

The Illinois Institute of Art/Chicago seems like a pretty good school but I havent really had the time I need to go there and see if their cost is good for their programs (like $68/70.000.00 for 4 year animation).

This woman that runs this free art program I went to wants me to go to the school she works for (their like $8.000 a year) but she says that they are just now getting into animation-like programs and keeps running away from the subject of animation when I ask her about it (this is UIC).

The person I spoke to at the Amercan Academy of Art said that there are alot of schools in Chicago that are good for animation but the ones I listed are the only ones I know of that have this program. So can any of you tell me if there are any other good schools for animation that have a campus that wont cost me too much?
P.S. I don't really want to stay in Chicago but out of state cost is too high from what I have seen. But if you know of any that arnt too high in thier out of state cost feel free to post them(^_^).

I don't know about how they are regarded, but Columbia College has an animation program. No idea of costs

I second checking with Columbia College. Their programs are often taught by people who are doing the work in the real world. They also have a new shared dorm with DePaul, Art Institute and Roosevelt that has created a "hot" student area in the South Loop of Chicago.

I did a summer course at Columbia College Chicago like five summers ago, and they seemed pretty competent back then. They could have only gotten better. Plus there are other artistic influences that would be great for any budding animator to connect with!

I also recently applied for the Grad program at UIC in Animation (or film/TV or whatever it was) and was rejected. Plus they were really rude to me when I had a complication with one of my transcripts (which, I'm guessing, is why I got rejected) :p
