Need help finding safeties

Hi, I'm having a little trouble finding some safety schools. I don't really feel comfortable posting some of my stats here...but 2 schools that are considered my safeties are Rutgers University and Penn State University. I'd really appreciate it if someone can recommend me some more schools that are like them. Oh, and they have to have Economics and/or Biochemistry. Thanks!

Without some kind of stats summary we have no idea if your guess at safeties is accurate. We also don’t know what your family can afford or what is in-state for you.

… or what you’re looking for in terms of number of students, urban/suburban/rural, etc. The 75th percentile for SATs at PSU is 1940; at Rutgers, it’s 1770. That’s just one criterion for safety schools, of course. If your SAT scores put you above these numbers, and particularly 1940, there are many options open to you. How about a hint? We won’t think you’re bragging. :)

Finance is not an issue with me right now. Rutgers is my in-state. I don’t really care a lot about how many students there are or how the surroundings are. I’m pretty flexible and fit in most places. Oh by the way, please keep the location in the Northeast and Midwest.
Eh…I really don’t want to post my stats. But will this help: schools that are for B students will be considered my safeties. I don’t know any schools for B students? :(

Um…if that didn’t help then I’ll think about posting my stats…

What do you intend to study?

Economics and/or Biochemistry

Maybe look at some of the other state schools - tOSU, U Pitt, Purdue

Your local community college.

^ I agree. If there is no specific stats, then a community college will definitely be a safety no matter what stats.

Thanks Erin’s Dad, I’ll look into those colleges.
